Elferink rules out building new bush courts with the rest of the population, which would leave the council with about $2.6 million over the five-year life of the agreement.
“The idea that you’re going to be able to go to court to get a $10 fee is ki보성안마nd of absurd,” he said.
Larkin said he believes the government will have to seek approval to build new bush court facilities if a court costs more than $20,000.
The federal government has approved a $3.5-billion budget for the fiscal year that begins Oct. 1.
“All we can do is get those dollars in there and ensure that the environment is protected,” he said.
